Hello. Welcome.

I’m Anne Sewall. I’m a wife, mother of three, writer, dog-lover, and bearded dragon aficionado.

I am a native of Virginia, but have called the state of Georgia my home for more than fifteen years now. Years ago, I graduated from Virginia Tech with degrees in Accounting and French, hoping to pursue a career in international business. As is often the case, though, God’s plans for my life were different.

In the spring of 2006, I graduated from MIT with a Master’s degree of Engineering in Logistics and shortly thereafter, married a guitar-playing engineer from Arkansas named Lyle. I worked in corporate finance and analysis for eight years at the home office of Chick-fil-A, a truly wonderful place to work. During that time my husband and I were blessed with three children: two boys and a girl. Staying home full-time soon after my youngest was born has afforded me the capacity to pursue stories I’ve always wanted to write. Many of them I know where they start, but I don’t exactly know where they will end, so I write in part because I really want to see what’s going to happen!

I am fascinated by the creative process: what happens between the spark of an idea and the finished product you want to share with people. I write at my kitchen table, outside on our back patio, Panera, the balcony at the gymnastics facility, and for a while (though not my favorite) the horse barn. When I am not writing, you may find me reading, walking, enjoying a cup of coffee, playing with our dogs, or more often than not—shuttling my children to various school events or activities around town. It’s that season of life, and it is running past us quickly.
