a dark world needs more light

Creativity. Where does it come from? What do we do with it?

Any spark of creativity we have comes from God, our Maker. Saint John describes God as the Word (John 1:1) and as Light (1 John 1:5). God spoke and light entered the world. When we speak, what do we bring into the world? Our words and stories can bring light or darkness.

We are beings who love stories. We crave stories. We long to be swept away in them.

I desire to write stories and songs that reflect God’s light in the world. When I tell a story, I want you to see glimmers of hope, laughter, love: stories you can identify with and come away from uplifted. If it lightens your burden or makes you laugh or think or connects you to something larger than yourself…even for just a few minutes, then it’s a story worth telling.

I cannot create light on my own. All I can do is reflect it, and I want to reflect the light…brightly.
